Woke up nice and fresh (even after a night out) to look into buying some art supplies to finish off one of my characters. Went on my stats for blogger and someones been looking at my blog on their Ipad... how posh! :D xx

 

This is February, she's my 5th character for the summer project. I absolutely adore the knickers off of her. She needs a bit of a touch up in ink, and I might re-do her hair at a later date.

Summer Project
Character #2
This is my 2nd character created for our summer project. She is inspired by the work of Mel Stringer. I have hand sewn and machine sewn the doll. Mel Stringer creates bear-dolls, so even though she looks complete I have yet to decide what little animal-girl she should be.
I'm drifting more to a doe though.

My third character of the summer was influenced by the work of Mark Ryden. Ever since I came across his work I was interested in his small innocent looking characters he creates in oil. I thought I would give it a go in a media I havent worked with much which is clay. So far I have scultped my character's (name;November's)body and head and have sanded her down ready to paint. Looking forward to what she looks like completed. 

 

"Secrets- Baker&Innovation"

The picture above is from a 2nd year Illustration project in which we had to create an Illustration suitable for 2-5 year olds and a more mature audience. This is my younger audience piece in which I decided to create a friendly robot that works at making secret cupcakes with her secret bottled ingredient. The innovation comes into play with the use of the robot, and how they have replaced the more traditional human chef/baker. 

"Pet Problems"
The top three pictures are just a handful of pieces I drew for the Pet Problems brief back in 2nd year. We were told to create humorous illustrations that would illustrate the sentences we had been given. All pictures were created using pencil, ink and grey thin-liner.
 In turn I had my pictures printed into a book at Kodak, it sits on my bookcase next to my Juxtapoz mags.
